1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CounselAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and CounselAI, Inc.
2. Description of Service
CounselAI provides AI-powered practice management tools designed for law firms. Our platform includes intelligent agents for intake processing, conflict checking, document drafting, legal research, contract review, deadline management, client communications, and billing analysis.
3. Important Disclaimers
CounselAI does not provide legal advice. Our AI agents are tools designed to assist licensed attorneys. All AI-generated outputs require attorney review and approval before use. AI outputs should never be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal judgment. Users maintain full responsibility for all work product.
4. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not: (a) use the Service to violate any laws or regulations; (b) upload malicious code; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access; (d) use the Service in any way that could impair its functioning; (e) resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
6. Data Ownership & Privacy
You retain all ownership of data you upload to CounselAI. We do not use your firm's data to train AI models. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
7. Subscription & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice.
8. Intellectual Property
CounselAI and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CounselAI, Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CounselAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
